Yoga in English in Vienna

As a teacher of classical hatha yoga, my classes focus on the correct alignment of the body while practising asanas (i.e. yoga poses) to benefit from them as much as possible. Therefore, certain props, such as blocks and belts, may be used. Every class focuses on a different aspect in order to work on different kinds of asanas, body regions or to meet individual requests. Occasionally breathing exercises (pranayama) as well as short meditations round off the program.

* Active yoga practice since 2007

* 2014 - 2018 Iyengar yoga teacher training in Budapest with Kevin Gardiner and Erika Répássy - certification as an Intro II teacher in July 2018

* Yoga teacher since September 2016

* Seminars and regular classes with other internationally renowned yoga teachers like Patricia Walden, Laurie Blakeney, Stephanie Quirk, Karl Baier, Tiffany Cruikshank etc.


* September-October 2018: Classes with James Murphy, Lara Warren and Michelle Larue at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York

* Zen meditation, Wing Tsun kungfu, Capoeira, Latin American dances (salsa, bachata, tango)

Yoga has always been an integral part of my life, because it keeps me fit on the one hand, but it is also much more than just sport. Due to breathing exercises and meditation, it represents a holistic concept which contributes to my physical and mental wellbeing. As a consequence to the precise alignment in the asanas (body postures), it creates a consciousness that transforms into mental calmness and patience as well as endurance.
